OneCity is a Special Projects Firm

We coordinate the projects businesses need to get ready for funding.

Get Ready Before Funding Moves.

Getting Ready Before Funding Moves

WHY

Day-to-day work doesn’t prepare you for funding.

The business is running and team is focused.

But funding looks at how everything holds together. Not just how hard you’re working.

Getting ready means structuring what already exists
so it holds when funding moves.

HOW

You build readiness without stopping the business.

Day-to-day keeps moving.

At the same time, the work funding depends on
is structured and moved forward separately.

Nothing gets disrupted.
Everything gets prepared.

WHAT

That’s where OneCity comes in.

We structure and coordinate the work outside day-to-day operations
so your business is ready before funding moves.

We start by identifying where progress matters most
and structuring it into milestones that confirm real value.

Moving from potential to readiness
requires work beyond your day-to-day operations.

Our Vision

Funding flowing to readiness, not potential.

Our Mission

To structure and coordinate what must be ready before funding moves.

Our Team

Christian Bruce

Founder | President & CEO

External Special Projects Lead

Christian Bruce is the Founder and CEO of OneCity Group, where he stewards the organization’s direction and ensures its work remains grounded in clarity, coordination, and trust.

Christian works with project, business, civic, and community leaders experiencing growth that feels harder than it should. As organizations scale, coordination begins to break down. Decisions slow. Effort increases. Confidence erodes, not because people are incapable, but because growth has outpaced shared understanding.

His work focuses on restoring clarity before momentum becomes misdirected.

At OneCity Group, Christian leads the delivery of business coordination services.  The work does not replace internal teams or own decisions. It creates the coordination structure that allows decisions to be made clearly and consistently as complexity increases.

The work often begins with a free consultation, where organizations name the growth they are actually experiencing and make friction, priorities, and constraints visible before additional effort or resources are applied. That clarity becomes the foundation for coordinated execution and aligned progress across projects and initiatives.

While teams and systems manage delivery, Christian maintains alignment between intention, execution, and impact, ensuring work remains visible, accountable, and trusted over time.

His background spans nonprofit, media, and consulting environments, with more than a decade of experience designing systems, aligning cross functional teams, and supporting organizations as they scale. His work reflects a core belief: growth should never outpace understanding.

Jordan Cote

CFO & Board Member

Jordan Cote is a Certified Public Accountant with more than nine years of experience supporting public, private, and nonprofit organizations through complex financial and assurance environments. His background includes financial statement audits, internal control assessments, compliance, and budgeting, with a focus on building financial systems that support transparency, stability, and long term trust.

Jordan currently serves as an Assurance Manager at CohnReznick LLP, where he works with organizations navigating regulatory requirements, financial risk, and operational complexity. His work centers on how financial structure, reporting discipline, and internal controls enable organizations to operate with confidence as scale and responsibility increase.

At OneCity Group, Jordan serves as both Chief Financial Officer and Board Member, bringing a governance focused lens to financial stewardship. He supports the design and oversight of financial systems that make resource use visible, decisions deliberate, and accountability consistent. His role extends beyond reporting and compliance to ensuring financial choices remain aligned with the organization’s mission, values, and long term objectives.

Jordan’s expertise strengthens OneCity’s ability to steward resources responsibly while maintaining trust with partners, clients, and stakeholders. By grounding financial operations in rigor and clarity, he helps ensure the organization remains durable, credible, and prepared as complexity grows.

Rodney Ferrell

Strategic Relationships Advisor

Rodney Ferrell is a senior marketing and partnerships leader who helps OneCity Group communicate its work with precision, credibility, and trust. With more than 20 years of experience spanning business development, brand strategy, and executive advisory, Rodney brings a disciplined approach to how organizations show up in the world and how their message is received.

As a Strategic Relationships Advisor, Rodney focuses on ensuring that OneCity’s voice reflects the same clarity and coordination the organization helps leaders create inside their work. His role is not to amplify noise or chase attention, but to help leaders understand what OneCity does, why it exists, and how its work supports better decision-making across business, civic, and community systems.

Rodney is also the founder of Ferrell Digital Production, where he has worked with organizations across California to strengthen how they communicate vision, values, and outcomes. That experience informs his ability to translate complex work into messaging that feels grounded, human, and trustworthy.

At OneCity, Rodney works closely with leadership to align marketing, partnerships, and public-facing communication with the organization’s core mission. He supports how OneCity engages chambers, economic development organizations, civic partners, and businesses by reinforcing consistency, clarity, and shared understanding.

Rodney’s work ensures that as OneCity grows, its message remains steady, its purpose remains clear, and its relationships remain built on trust.

Alex Jang

Client Experience & Product Advisor

Alex Jang is a people-centered operator who brings clarity, care, and follow-through to complex work across business, civic, and community environments. She operates at the intersection of execution and service, helping ideas move from intention to use in ways that feel grounded, humane, and trustworthy.

Alex is a Client Experience and Product Advisor for OneCity Group, where she supports the design and refinement of client-facing experiences across the OneCity platform and engagement model. Her work focuses on ensuring that clarity does not stop at insight, but carries through into how people interact with tools, processes, and decisions over time.

In her broader work, Alex is a Project Implementation Specialist with National Co+op Grocers, supporting cooperative organizations at a national level as they navigate operational change, coordination, and implementation. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op, where she contributes governance oversight grounded in real-world operational experience and community accountability.

With a background spanning operations, media, product implementation, and community-facing work, Alex is comfortable working across sectors and translating between strategic vision and day-to-day execution. She has a strong instinct for where friction shows up for users, teams, and partners, and helps shape solutions that are both usable and aligned with real-world constraints.

Alex previously served as a local host and contributor for SACTV (now operating as OneCity Media), and continues to bring that same people-first lens into her advisory role today. Her presence strengthens OneCity’s ability to deliver experiences that are clear, coherent, and worthy of trust as complexity increases.
